Episode 8 – Suhag Shukla

Practicing spirituality and steering an American Hindu advocacy is both a calling and a welcome challenge for Suhag Shukla.  With a degree in religion, a background as a lawyer, and a deep passion to educate, Suhag is a co-founder and the executive director of the Hindu American Foundation.  She’s a leading voice for civil rights, human rights, and religious freedom and has made broad contributions ranging from the Department of Homeland Security to the United Nations. She’s been recognized for her work by the Center for American Progress and her efforts promoting women and gender equality. Our chat together started with talking about how her background and upbringing cultivated her spirituality.
