Our families are friends, so this summer, when I saw the now famous video of him confronting Trump about his repeated lies to the American public, this was the Shirish that I knew – the really really smart Stanford grad, whose intrepid skill has helped him write 5 novels, 2 political biographies, and serve as a correspondent for the Associated Press and NPR. By the way, he’s also a seasoned bluewater sailor, tallying 35,000 ocean miles, including a two-year trip with his family across the world.
